Director of Human Resources

Darlene Smith is a seasoned Human Resource professional with over 18 years of progressively senior experience in a cross section of industries including financial services, insurance and transportation in both unionized and non-unionized environments. She has effectively championed the Human Resource function for both small/medium sized organizations as well as a large national organization.

Darlene brings to Protegra significant HR expertise in all facets of the domain, including strategic workforce planning, training and development, total rewards, recruiting and performance management.

Darlene is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) and a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). She also has her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.

When not working she enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with her family.
